We can hardly believe it, but July marks exactly one decade since we opened our doors right here in Winton! From day one, our mission has been simple: Great talk and the finest real ales and ciders served straight from the gravity casks.

We’re well-known for serving flavoursome, fresh real ales and ciders. But what makes us even more special – the people.
Expect a warm welcome from friendly staff that serve you at your table. No need to queue at a bar. You’ll also meet plenty of characterful customers.
We attract people of all ages. And from every background imaginable. But they all share something in common – a love for great-tasting real ales and ciders.
Brimming with personality
The Silverback Alehouse’s ceiling and some of the walls are covered by the pump clips from the real ales and ciders that have been enjoyed by our customers over the years. Further adding to the character of this vibrant micropub.
We appreciate the dying art of conversation. You’ll find bar stools and church pews on either side of the micropub, making it easier for more people to chat together. We also ask customers to kindly take phone calls outside.
Not a chatterbox? Don’t worry. Some just enjoy a tasty drink, their own company and possibly a good book. Or you could jump on our free wi-fi to watch cat videos (with the sound off) or grab one of our many board games to play.

Well-behaved dogs are allowed. We even provide fresh water and biscuits (for the dogs)
